Dismantle furniture if possible, this will make it easier to store and create more space in your storage unit. 4. Place your furniture on top of pallets when storing, this helps with the air flow inside your unit. Another option to keep your furniture safe would be to place a thick plastic sheet or cardboard onto the floor. 5. Protect your furniture by coving it over or wrapping it in sheets, helping to prevent any scratches or scuff marks. 6. Wrap any glass or fragile items with packing paper and bubble wrap. 7.
